- During this phase, our goal is to gather as much information as we can about the particulars of your data loss. We will work with you on the best service level to meet your needs. Here we determine if the case will require STANDARD or EMERGENCY service level. Next, we discuss payment options, pricing and shipment options which best meet your requirements. We provide discounts to students, teachers, as well as state and local government entities. Proper paperwork is provided and your media is labeled and assigned a unique number. We enter your information into our online job tracking system so that you can check on the status of your recovery throughout the entire recovery process.

2. Pre-recovery Evaluation
- During the evaluation of your media, our technicians perform an EXTREMELY THOROUGH pre-recovery evaluation of your media. We use specialized Hardware and sophisticated lab equipment to determine what is wrong and the best action to take. Drives that are severely damaged and/or suffering from physical problems will likely undergo a cleanroom evaluation. Our lab technicians work to generate a listing of files that are recoverable and assess the level of difficulty of the case. We upload the file listing along with a fixed price for your recovery at this time.

3. Actual Data Recovery
- After you have examined your file listing and we have received your signed paperwork, the actual data recovery process. Files are repaired and copied during this stage onto the destination media of your choice.

4. Post-Recovery support
- We deliver you data to you in the format you choose. In some cases, file names and structures are different or not preserved. PC Recovery provides our customers with detailed information on how to locate and access the recovered data.
